REVIEW:

This book was so amazingly written that it puts you in the life of Mia and Jared. It makes you feel what they felt as their most tragic times in their lives. Mia has been trying to overcome tragedy that has forced her into seclusion. She has a best friend who is there for her always, but she wants to get beyond what she has become. Mia seems strong, but she's not and you just want to hug her. When she has a new neighbor who is loud and seems to always have something happening at home she will hide even more. But fate will give her the push, but will Jared. Jared is recovering from loosing what he thought would be his whole life. Moving to seclusion to make sure he is sane and taking care of his family is what's necessary. When he sees Mia for the first time he doesn't know what to think. Can they help each other or will their neighbor/friendship be destroy by the past?
Freya Barker inspires with her stories about 'real’ people, perhaps less than perfect, each struggling to find their own slice of happy. She is the author of the Cedar Tree Series and the Portland, ME, novels.
Freya is the recipient of the RomCon “Reader’s Choice” Award for best first book, “Slim To None,” and is a finalist for the 2016 Kindle Book Awards for “From Dust”. She currently has two complete series and three anthologies published, and is working on two new series; La Plata County FBI—ROCK POINT, and Northern Lights. She continues to spin story after story with an endless supply of bruised and dented characters, vying for attention!
