Ember is the shy girl that goes to the club with her best friend to meet with a guy she likes. But when Ember is hit on by a guy that won't take no for answer she helped by the hot and sexy guy that every girl dreams of having. Sweet baby Jesus, Trace Montgomery is one hot guy but Trace believes he is damaged and that no one will be able to help with his troubled past. Ember and Trace keep having chance meeting and then begin to see each other. Ember begins to break his shell and for the first time Trace is happy but the further Ember get to Trace's past the farther he pushes her away leaving her heartbroken. Ember doesn't given though, she fights for her man and helps free him of his past demons.
I will say this I have seen bad reviews out there for this book and I will tell you that this is the second time I have read it. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but...the fact that this is the second time I have read this story should tell something right there, that this is a good story. Obviously there are people out there that do not understand the meaning of this story, the characters or the author!
