Review:

Cord is a firefighter who's also kind of a jokester, but uses it as a shield. He knows what he wants and doesn't want, and that's to be tied down. When he's asked to MC the annual Bachelor Auction, he always says yes, because, of course, he's charming like that. But this year is about to knock him for a loop because the older lady who bought him did so for her granddaughter. Now he has to figure out a date with her and move on. Lucky has been through it as a single mom; she's just trying to survive everything that has been thrown at her. Her main goal is her son and making sure he's happy, healthy, and stays in one piece. When her grandmother buys a date for her, she's hesitant, but when she meets Cord, something sparks. They get along so well, but he doesn't know about her son, and she's trying to protect their hearts. When a chance meeting and a cold knock them all for a fiery loop, they have to decide if the burn is worth it. I loved how they both came out of their shells and how they were trying to be as open as possible.
