The next generation is always a good way to start putting kids into the MC life. Mercedes is 21 and just about to go off to college away from her family. She wants to be independent and be herself without the influence of the club. She has a wild spirit yet she is very vulnerable and emotional through this whole book. She knows how to be tough but doesn't seem like it sometimes. Diesel is in a rock band and attends the school that Mercedes does. He wants nothing to do with him and she doesn't care she will push to be friends. He's in an MC club the son of a member and she is the daughter of another. Two unlikely people who fall in love but with the dangers of the club they aren't suppose to be together. As strong and tough as Mercedes is she gets bullied and has a hard time with that. Can she fight through that or will it break her heart and spirit? Will her and Diesel be able to be together when all is said and done?
