Sometimes people enter our lives when we least expect them. Adele is a beautiful soul with a sassy mouth, a survivor. I felt her calm presence as I read her story. Cole is standoffish, with secrets and a past that sometimes get in the way. When these two meet, it's love at first sight, but they don't seem to think it through. Cole feels protective of Adele as he tries to navigate his own feelings. When past lives become present, can he protect her without losing himself in the process? I loved reading this slow-burning book about love, lust, friendship, and bonding.
