Oh, this story broke my heart a little bit. Daisy left home to go to California so she didn't put her family through more torment. She has a disease that prevents her from being near any light and darkness is her friend, however, so are the nightmares that plague her in her sleep. Her health is taking a dive and her father and uncles decide it's time to send someone to her when someone tries to take her life. Hercules is the last person that wants to deal with the family. But when a call comes in that Daisy's life is in danger he will do whatever he can to protect her. For him, though he's about to get more than he bargained for when he finds out exactly what Daisy has been hiding from her family. When something happens and forces them back home, well things are about to get a little bit intense. Now not only do they have to try to save her, but Hercules is about to face his demons and well they are going to be a doozy. I loved this book filled with intrigue and drama, but mostly the love you could feel.
