“Dalia?”

Blood. There had been so much blood everywhere, and I couldn’t get it out of my head.

“Dalia.”

Were they watching? I found myself peeking up at the security cameras we had strewn

throughout the bar. They were noticeable for a reason, and it was supposed to deter people from

being shitheads.

Guess they were wrong.

“Dalia, are you listening to me?”

Then again, maybe the guy deserved it?

“Do you hear yourself?” I whispered.

“Dalia!” Raquel exclaimed.

I jumped so hard that the glass I had in my hand tumbled from my grasp. The crashing of the cup

against the floor seconded only the shatter that came after, and it ripped me out of my trance.
