Merry has a heart of gold, but she's so busy during the Christmas season she doesn't really enjoy it. Her main goal is to make sure everyone has all the goodies and treats their heart desires. This is one of the times of the year that will help her stay afloat all year long. Business is booming right now and it has a lot to do with one of her employees who she's hired for the season. Beckett is just helping Merry out until construction picks up again. He's also helping because he generally likes being around her and is attracted to her.
