You know what they say about best-laid plans…
After eight years away from home, my plans have been blown out of the water and I’m right back where I started. Carraway Falls. I never wanted to return to my small town life but I also didn’t plan to get laid off.
So here I am. Trying to figure out what’s next. Picking up the pieces isn’t easy but at least I’ve got the safety of my best friend’s couch to land.
Oh and did I mention my childhood friend/crush is still around. And he’s a ridiculously hot firefighter. Yeah, I don’t have time for that kind of distraction. I’m on a mission to rewrite my story and nothing’s going to get in the way.
I mean it. Nope. I’m trying to dust off and make some new plans. Jack Fuller’s sexy smile won’t veer me off course. Not even if a second chance at…whatever we had in the past is enticing.
Turning the Page is a full length, standalone small town novel. It is the first book in the Carraway Falls series.

EXCERPT
Lily doesn’t reply. Doesn’t say another word. She just leans in, tilting her head to one side, and kisses me. Slowly. Her lips brush against mine so lightly that I barely register it. But my body does. The moment her lips touch mine, my body ignites. She’s the match, and I’m the TNT.
And holy shit.
Fireworks.
The second I lean in to deepen the kiss, to pull her even closer, it ends. Far too soon, Lily pulls away, right out of my arms. The next thing I know, she’s got the passenger door open and is standing outside looking into the cab.
“I think I can do slow.” She regards me with a smirk. “I look forward to date two, Jack. Good night.” She blows me a kiss with her mitten-clad hand and closes the door on me without waiting for a response.
I drop my head back against the headrest and blow out a breath that actually comes out more like a groan. I’m in so much trouble with this woman. On the drive home, I’m no longer trying to convince myself that going slow is the right thing to do. No. My mind is firmly focused on the very cold shower I’ll be taking when I get home.
Fuck.
AUTHOR BIO
Jean Marie has been falling in love with characters in books for as long as she can remember. From an early age, she escaped into the worlds created by others. And now she's finally creating some herself, complete with sexy heroes and relatable heroines.
When she's not reading, she's drinking some tea, probably watching a truly tragic medical drama, or reading. Her debut series takes place in the fictional small town in Vermont and features famous garlic knots, some serious steam, and a whole lot of heart.
